Bliss Films, run by Joanna Monfreda, is on a mission to make movies that empower unlikely protagonists, entice an audience to re-evaluate their preconceptions, and tell one heck of an entertaining story.
Since the inception of Bliss Films in 2019, originally founded by Joanna, Kathryn Ferentchak, and Sarineh Garapetian, the banner has successfully funded four award-winning short films through grants and crowdfunding, crafted unique music videos, created internationally recognized fashion videos and collaborated on numerous projects. Bliss Films' current slate includes Björn, directed by Kris Pitzek and anticipated to premiere in Los Angeles in June 2026. It also includes Molly Hope vs Falconess and GRIBBON, both written by Anne Peyton Brothers and currently in post-production.
Based in Los Angeles, Joanna is a Producer and Production Manager passionate about telling stories that resonate with an audience. While she is captivated by the storytelling part, her skills lie in the work that takes a story from conception to fruition on screen. Joanna loves handling logistics and strives to cultivate comfortable and supportive environments for filmmakers to manifest the true vision of their story. When she's not managing sets, you can find her traveling with friends, enjoying tunes at concerts around town, or in her kitchen attempting to perfect her nonna's pasta sauce for the thousandth time.
